Today, I am speaking with Rick Palo, a career and college counselor, and he is going to talk about how to find scholarships and grants to cover the cost of college and university.
And there are tons and tons of them out there for the taking! But you need to do a little prep work to make sure you are in the best position you can be in in order to be a possible recipient of this free money.
It requires a little strategy and planning ahead of time. And you can do it!
Rick spent many years guiding students in discovering and planning their next steps after high school.
In fact, he has created a podcast called YOUR LIFE AFTER HIGH SCHOOL, and a website of the same name, where he shares all his knowledge on how to get yourself on your proper path.
If you need some advice on the whys and hows to pay off debt, guess what, I have done some podcasts about that! Check out:
Episode 41 on Investing. Eva Agi talks about setting up a fund to plan for college
In episode 40, which is about 401 K, Melissa Neacato talks about her own student debt and how she made a plan to pay that off asap as soon as she got a job.
Let’s say you already have tons of student loans that have been following you around. In episode 18, Make a Budget and Get Out of Debt, Jason Hoschouer tells you how to do that.
And in episode 10 and episode 7, Randi Levenbaum talks about money smarts and the importance of zero debt, and how to get there fast.
