Today I want to discuss the importance of slowing down before you run yourself into the ground.
I admit it. I have been running pretty hard for the last couple of months and it has finally caught up with me.
It used to be worse. I have run myself into the ground more than once. It wasn’t fun. Rather than recognize my body and mind’s cry for help, I was forced to stop.
Admitting that you are tired can be a big challenge for many. It always was for me. But I am learning and changing now.
At least now, I can slow it down before it takes me down. Better late than never, right?
What about you? Can you relate to this?
I think this is a topic that resonates with many. Probably more than those who care to admit it.
But admitting that you need a break, or a vacation, or a nap, or to just move a little slower is a huge life skill.
It is worth it and you can do it. This pep talk may be the push (in the right direction) you needed.
