Mominar 065: How To Patch a Window Screen

How To Patch a Hole in a Window Screen

In this Mominar, I’m going to talk about something that you probably would not even consider until you have to consider it.

You may have noticed that a lot of doors and windows have a screen covering them in order to let air in and keep the bugs out. It’s something that you may not even notice until it gets a tear in it.

A Simple and Affordable Solution

How do you fix this? Well, you can replace the entire frame, screen and all, or you can just take the frame out and then replace the screen.

But both of those options are something that I, personally, don’t want to learn how to do or pay for. So I found this simple and affordable solution. It’s called Screen Repair Tape.

It is so easy! You just stick over the hole.

There are just a few very simple steps to follow in order to repair your window or door screen.

Now you may be thinking that if the tear or hole is too big, isn’t the adhesive part going to be exposed and dirt and bugs are going to stick to it?

I have not found anything that actually addresses that issue. So what I did is I put adhesive tape on the backside first and then put another piece on the front, making a double patch.

I think this was a great product. It did the job. It’s a super strong hold and I’m happy with it.
