Mominar 034: How To Make Healthy Chicken Soup

One of the best things you can eat when you are coming down with something or trying to recover, need to detox, trying to lose weight, or even if you are just hungry for something nutritious is Homemade Chicken Soup.

Also known as Jewish Penicillin, homemade chicken soup is restorative! And it is super easy to make.

All you need are 

  • Good quality chicken broth
  • Water
  • Vegetables: Turnip, rutabaga, parsnip, leek, onion, garlic
  • Chicken
  • Seasoning of your choice

There are many ways to make it, but this is my particular recipe. It is lower in fat and carbs which is helpful when your immune system is down.. 

Your body has to work hard to process dense foods so this nourishes the body while it is busy fighting whatever illness or junk it is trying to process. And it is delicious!

This is what I make to help heal illness or blah in my family. It will probably help you too. It definitely won’t hurt!
