If your washing machine is making a loud banging noise, or your clothes are sopping wet when the cycle is done, your load was unbalanced. How do you know if your load is unbalanced? If you are present while your machine is washing, you will hear pretty alarming banging and pounding noises. When the machine is in the spin cycle, it's going pretty fast, and uneven weight distribution will throw the tub off its axis and bang against the inside of the machine. It’s really loud.
